Society President, Gladys Drainer passed away on Friday, November 18, 2011. She is survived by 7 children, 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She loved the school and everything it represented. Restoring the school to its original wonder was her "Dream".

She could be found in the raffle booth visiting with everyone who passed by and selling raffle tickets and souvenirs. Her chair will sit empty in the raffle booth at the next festival, but her spirit will be ever so present as we try to carry on with her "Dream".
